VPS Hosting Reviews are provided to help give you some insight when making a decision in selecting a VPS host. We base these VPS hosting review on information provided by previous customers of VPS hosts, Webmasters and our own personal experience with VPS hosts.
Each VPS hosting review is done on one of the top virtual private server providers and highlights their key features so you easily find what you are looking for in a VPS host and compare the various offerings. Then if you want more in-depth information on the company you can click on the in-depth VPS Review to read more. We have also made it easy for you to go to their services with our direct links.
I recently had a business owner ask me for some help with their website and when I wanted to upload a file I found out that the VPS hosting provider they were using did not even allow ftp to their website. All they provided was a Drupal (drupal is a freely available content management system) interface that they managed for you at an hoult rate. You couldn't even upload additional free Drupal modules without asking them to do it for you. They claimed this as virtual private server and allotted the 256 MB RAM, but no root access and even worse no ftp access, or access to log files! As it turns out they were paying nearly double the price of an inexpensive dedicated server that would give them full access to everything and far more resources.
Luckily we put a plan together to migrate them from this VPS hosting provider to a different VPS host, because shortly afterwards we received an email from them that their current provider was suspending all hosting operations and would stop hosting in less than a month. This is one of the reasons why we put together this VPS hosting review so that other people don't make the same mistake when selecting a hosting company.

Virtual web server hosting offers two main benefits. First, it is much cheaper than dedicated hosting, because the owner can split the cost of the server machine between several users. Second, because there is a virtual barrier between each user on the host machine, the actions of one user do not impact the performance of another client's website as frequently as they do in a shared server environment.
