Are Celeron D processors dual core CPUs?

Postby Aiden23 » Tue Mar 17, 2009 2:09 pm

I was looking at getting a dedicated server with FreeBSD installed and one hosting service provider is offering a really cheap price on a server that has a Celeron D CPU, according to them it is the newer 440 @ 2.00GHz. Does anyone know if this Celeron D is a dual core processor? :geek:

Thanks

No the Celeron D is not a dual core processor. Even though the non-Celeron D is dual core this one ain't.
Sorry to disappoint.

I hear they are making new Celerons with multiple cores, just not sure what they are going to do to de-tune them, maybe reduce their cache.

Just my 2 cents
